Toned and athletic, five girls who keep pace with London

Angelika starts most days on a tennis court and still has energy for a jazz club near midnight. She lives in Mayfair, stands 172 cm and wears her black hair long and straight, and she is as happy talking about contemporary art as about a good rally.

Sonya, in her early thirties, has the upright grace that ballet leaves behind. Hers is the kind of calm you notice most after a difficult day of meetings, and she has a lovely habit of suggesting a slow walk through Hyde Park before dinner rather than another taxi.

Not every athletic girl spends her free time in a gym. Nora, honey blonde at 166 cm, lives in Paddington and would rather browse the flower markets or sketch a new dress, with champagne to celebrate a good find. Tina, 158 cm with espresso brown hair, loves fashion design, cocktails and vinyl in Covent Garden. Both are quick on their feet and quicker still with a joke.
